Plain Mulberry Paper with Fibres – A4 Size, 36gsm

Plain mulberry paper with visible fibres, A4 size (210 × 297 mm) and 36gsm, in a naturally off-white tone with a subtle yellowish undertone that gives the paper a soft, handmade look.

Both sides of the sheet have a matte finish. One side is smoother, while the other has a slightly more textured surface created by the natural fibres within the paper.

Mulberry paper is widely used in crafting and is often referred to as rice paper for decoupage. While traditionally made from mulberry tree fibres, the term rice paper is commonly used by crafters to describe this type of thin, strong decorative paper.

It is naturally semi-transparent, flexible and reinforced with visible fibres, which makes it easy to work with while still being surprisingly durable.

Unlike napkins, mulberry paper is more durable and easier to handle, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced crafters.

Tips for Best Results

For the most natural finish, gently tear the paper instead of cutting it with scissors. The soft feathered edges blend much better into painted or decorated surfaces.

When applying to glass, brush glue on both sides of the paper and place the pieces like a puzzle, slightly overlapping the torn edges to create a smooth result.

Mulberry paper works beautifully with most decoupage glues and craft mediums.
