Plain Mulberry Paper with Fibres – A4 Size, 30gsm

This naturally white mulberry paper with visible fibres is a beautiful and versatile base paper for decoupage, mixed media and craft projects.

The sheet is A4 size (210 × 297 mm / 8.3 × 11.7 in) and weighs 30gsm, making it lightweight, flexible and easy to work with while still being strong enough for a wide range of decorative techniques.

Mulberry paper is widely used in crafting and is often referred to as rice paper for decoupage. Despite its delicate appearance, it is surprisingly durable and much easier to handle than ordinary napkins or tissue paper.

This paper has two slightly different sides — one smoother with a subtle sheen, and the other more textured with visible fibres.

Some customers also use this paper to print their own photos or artwork at home. This can be possible with suitable printer settings, although many prefer professionally printed designs available in the shop.

Tips for Best Results

For the most natural finish, tear the paper rather than cutting it with scissors. The soft, feathered edges blend much better into painted or decorated surfaces.

When applying to glass, brush glue on both sides of the paper and place the pieces like a puzzle, slightly overlapping the torn edges to create a smooth, seamless finish.

Mulberry paper works beautifully with most decoupage glues, gel mediums and water-based adhesives.
